Metrogel
The Product
Metrogel is a strong formula that contains an antibiotic called metronidazole and it is used widely in bacterial treatment. It is good at getting rid of infections and is one of the leading treatments in the battle against acne rosacea.
It is only applied once a day and helped by reducing redness and swollen lesions were called by acne. It is a good program for skin care and it will help you control any outbreaks leaving your skin clearer and smoother. There is no alcohol in this treatment and it is mostly water-based gel that will help moisturise your skin.
The gel is non-greasy and is not hard to apply on affected areas, it comes in a 60 gram tube that lasts a very long time as only small amounts need to be applied to affected areas.
The Manufacturer
Metrogel is made by a company called Galderma Labroratories. It was reformed in 1981 as a joint venture between L’Oreal and NestlĂ©. It’s is based in the USA and conducts primary research in skin care and fighting acne conditions. The company has a good reputation for producing a quality product and also is regulated for administering mild antibiotics.
Why it Works Well
The reason why this product works well is because it contains antibiotics in it. To get this kind of effect you would have to go to your doctors to get prescription drugs. But Metrogel use a mild one called metronidazole which is safe if administered one low doses.
Most antibiotics that you get from your doctor will be administered orally and some are in the form of lotions. This carries the same attributes as lotions that are prescribed and of course there are some side effects to those who are sensitive to non-natural remedies.
The reviews have mostly been positive and keep people have experienced any negative effects from taking this product.
Our Verdict
We would recommend taking this product as the reviews on it seem very positive. Although it is slightly on the pricey side you will find that each bottle lasts a long time. So if you look over a 3 to 6 month period it would probably cost you the same amount as any other lotion on the market today.
As it uses an antibiotic if you find that you have had allergic reactions in the past then it is important that you consult a doctor using it.
