Many people now a days are investigating the Natural and Homeopathic Remedies for many ailments, including skincare. But still there are a huge amount that would rather go to a store, or online and purchase chemical products to do what some foods in your kitchen will do. But what works best?
I recently saw a commercial that told me Oil of Olay Regenerist Moisturizer beat 70 other products ranging from $15 a bottle to $350 a bottle. All you have to spend is $45 and you will have terrific skin that is better than the best high end brands out there. But what if you are unable to just toss $45 into cream for your dry skin. I know I have and have stacks of chemical moisturizers that I forked out a lot of money to see no real results.
Were you aware that a banana is one of the best natural remedies for dry skin? Sure the sound of mashing up a banana and smearing it on your face could be a little unpleasant to some people but it is kinder and more gentle than 90% of the chemicals in your face cream. Just leave it on your face for a half an hour while you relax and rinse it off with lukewarm water and voila! Soft, moisturized skin…now try that 3 times a week and you will be amazed at the money you have saved.
What about all the cooking oils you have in your kitchen? Olive Oil, Almond oil and Grape seed oil are all wonderful at moisturizing your skin. All you have to do is massage any of these onto your face before you go to bed every night and the results will amaze you. If you have a more severe case of dry skin, try avocado or Castor oil a few times per week.
Applying Aloe Vera right after you bathe or shower is helpful in maintaining the skins natural moisture as well as adding certain foods and vitamins to your diet. Omega 3’s found in some fish and fruits and vegetables rich in Vitamin A should be included as both help with moisturizing the skin. Try to avoid caffeine and alcohol as they just cause skin to dry out and be irritated.
There are many other kitchen remedies to be looked into to help you with your search to fix your dry skin, these are just a few to try before you look into that $350 container of wonder cream you are uncertain if it will work.
