Acne can be a bothersome condition for many people. It occurs in teens, adults and pregnant women. In fact, it even occurs in babies. If you have a baby with acne, they will grow out of it. Don’t do anything to that child - not even home remedies. Babies do not have the skin defenses of older people and so their acne should not be touched - except by their pediatrician.
If you are anyone other than a baby, you might need the occasional home remedy. For serious acne sufferers, the only relief will be through your doctor. For everyone else, acne relief can begin at home. The home remedies in this article are not scientifically proven, but they are home remedies that people have said work for them. Here they are:
- Take orange peel and apply the extract (by queezing) onto the acne spots.
- Mix cinnamon powder and honey into a paste and apply it onto your face at night. Be sure to wash it off in the morning - first thing.
- Soak lettuce in water, and then wash your face with the water.
- Put toothpaste on the acne spot before going to bed and wash it off first thing in the morning.
- Put a compress of hot water on the affected spot to make it pop naturally.
- Use fresh mint juice (mint mixed with water) as a daily face wash to open the pores and keep them clean.
There are many, many natural remedies out there. This is simply a partial list of some of the easiest remedies for acne. If you find one that works for you, keep it written down for future generations.
