Beauty is more than skin deep

Filed under: Acne Basics, Skin Care — Tags: beauty, being beautiful, personality — admin @ 10:04 am on Thursday, March 19, 2009

It is hard, when you have acne, to think of yourself as beautiful. However, you are beautiful - beauty is more than skin deep.

Everyone has head the “Beautiful” song by now - it has been remade by Christina Aguilera and played on every radio station. The song is truth - you are beautiful no matter who you are or what you say about yourself.

Acne can disfigure your skin, cause people to be uncomfortable, or even make you think you look horrible. But what truely defines a beautiful person is how they act - not what they look like. People don’t like people who act horrible, rude and mean. People like people who act nicely, like others, and behave as themselves. This is what a beautiful person does.

A beautiful person is smart and intelligent.

But that doesn’t help you when the boys won’t ask you on dates or to the prom. Boys, generally teenaged boys but also young men, tend to look for skin beauty first, and a beautiful person second. They are idiots. The skin beauty will fade, and doesn’t reflect any qualities of the person. However, the beautiful person will never fade. You have to find comfort in this, as well as comfort in the fact that boys eventually grow up. Spend the time you would’ve spent on dates learning something amazing and wonderful. People who know wonderful and amazing things are attractive too.

So make yourself a beautiful person. Acne cannot stop you - only you can stop you from being beautiful.
