Acne Free In 30 Days
Probably the most common marketing phrase for acne treatment
products is “acne free in 30 days” where the promised
number of days for an acne
cure seems to get less and less and acne treatment becomes
one of the highest grossing dermatological sectors in consumerism.
But is this acne free claim reliable? Can a product really make
you acne free in 30 days, regardless of your acne type?
The answer is no, and sometimes yes.
As we learned in out in our acne cream products section, there
are many different skin types and many different acne types
and levels of severity. To claim a product can treat any or
all of these acne types, for people with all types of skin is
an obvious over-zealous marketing claim that is most likely
false. In many cases, such as with hormonal acne,
acne control is the only treatment available where acne is significantly
decreased until the hormones are balanced once again (such as
after puberty, pregnancy or menopause).
Of course, the answer can be yes; an acne
product can make you acne free in 30 days. Depending on
the severity of your acne, and your skin type, some products
may actually clear your acne in less time. Although this is
uncommon, it is not impossible. Therefore, although an acne
product cannot guarantee that you will be acne free in x
days, there is a chance it can do just that.
However, following that vein of thinking, realistically any
acne treatment could make you acne free in 30 days, including
the implementation of a simple cleansing routine. There are
many natural products, such as the astringent rose water, that
can be used in a cleansing routine that can conceivably ‘cure’
your acne in 30 days. For more information see our best
acne treatments section.
The lesson to learn here is that different people suffer from
different types of acne. The answer to the how
to treat acne problem is to do your research, implement
a regular hygiene routine of acne cleansing and not hold any
product or regiment to a deadline. Talk to your physician or
dermatologist about your skin type and the options available
to you. These experts will probably have a good idea of the
actual efficacy of most products, and will let you know which
ones to stay away from. |
